The Medical Aesthetic Nursing Certificate Program is intended for registered nurses who hold an active nursing license. The registered nurse must have at least 2 years experience working in a hospital or a community health agency. The student should possess a desire to work with patients to preserve, enhance or correct common skin conditions and signs of aging. The student must be capable of assessment and monitoring the physical and psychological status of patients before, during, and after procedures. Students must have excellent communication skills, physical assessment skills, ability to work with various skin diseases implementing post care for skin cancer patients, in addition the ability to coordinate care to ensure safe, efficient delivery of high-quality care in both aesthetic and dermatology nursing.
College of Medical Aesthetics does not offer online enrollment. Prospective students must submit a resume and a letter of intent to complete a seventeen-week online and seven-day clinical skills lab. Resumes and letters of intent must be submitted to the Admissions Department for evaluation. An admissions representative will inform the applicant about available programs and assist throughout the enrollment process. Essential documents, enrollment agreement, student performance fact sheet forms, and payment method are distributed and collected by the admissions representative by email or in the campus office.
Completing the Enrollment Process
Once all required documents are submitted and the applicant is accepted, first time students will be enrolled and introduced to Moodle Video Navigation Tutorial one week before the class starts. The orientation gives the student the opportunity to become comfortable with our online student learning center platform and helps them successfully complete their course work.
