Clinical Skills experiences include lasers and light devices for hair removal, photodynamic
therapy; the application of medical grade chemical peels; collagen induction therapy (dermal
needling), neurotoxins (BoNTA Type A), and dermal fillers used for Volumizing.
Students are expected to:
Provide comprehensive assessment and aesthetic treatments to a variety of patients
Perform health assessments, treatments, and procedures on assigned patients
Document all nursing care, photos, and post care instructions
Provide a detailed report of the patient status to the supervising instructor
Demonstrate proficiency with the use of equipment, procedures, pharmaceuticals, injections,
chemical peels, and lasers

The Aesthetic Dermatology Nursing program is designed for registered nurses and Nurse
Practioners who want advance their skills, or seek a new career in aesthetic/dermatology. This a
blended course: Theory is presented online and clinical skills are conducted in a designated
training site that allows the student to perform hands-on- training.
